The JKUAT Multimedia and Development Festival (MDF) 2017

As one of Africa’s leading universities, JKUAT has produced many outstanding graduates in fields of scientific and technological innovation. Japan was closely involved in its foundation in the 1970’s and the cooperative ties have been maintained ever since with both Japanese universities and private industry. This festival has been organized to give fresh stimulus to the multimedia sector, which is now drawing attention across Africa. Works have been invited in five sections and there will be judging, awards, exhibitions, and lectures and discussions led by experts in each field. Students from 30 African countries will also take part in a special speech contest. Other events include an essay contest for high school students and guided tour of JKUAT’s innovative research projects.
