A program centered on award-winning works from the Japan Media Arts Festival 2013 will be screened at Russia’s foremost comprehensive festival of Japanese culture: J-FEST 2013

This will be the 5th J-FEST, the comprehensive event for introducing Japanese culture that has been organized since 2009 by the Embassy of Japan in Russia. J-FEST conveys the real Japan through a wide range of fields from art, fashion, music, games, movies and animation to traditional culture and food.

Official Screening 
Japan Media Arts Festival will screen an Animation Program at the main venue, the Concert Hall, and a Video Program at the Conference Hall, both Saturday, November 23rd.

Japan Media Arts Festival 2013 ― Animation Program (90min.)― 
This 90-minute presentation introduces twelve works produced using diverse modes of expression and screened in Japan and overseas with the focus on Katsuhiro Otomo’s much-acclaimed Japan Media Arts Festival 2013 Animation Division Grand Prize winner, Combustible, Excellence Award winner, Atsushi Wada’s Great Rabbit and other short Japanese animations recommended by the jury.

Japan Media Arts Festival ~ Video Program (120min.)~
The program of 18 works focuses on diverse video works from among the prize-winners and jury recommendations in the Art, Entertainment and Animation Divisions of Japan Media Arts Festival 2013, including short animations, video art and music videos, and also introducing some outstanding projects.
