Award-winning works from the Japan Media Arts Festival will be screened at SIGGRAPH 2014, which is taking place in Vancouver, Canada from August 10th-14th.
The annual SIGGRAPH conference travels around North America and this year, the 41st conference in the series comes to Vancouver in Canada. Besides the conferences on diverse themes, there will also be displays of the latest digital artworks and a trade fair. Many visitors from around the world will gather for this coming together of all the latest information in the computer graphic field. Works from the Japan Media Arts Festival will be screened at the concurrent Computer Animation Festival (CAF), Daytime Selects.

The expression that builds on the ever continuing evolution of technology impresses by its sheer diversity. Digitalization of the tools of expression imparts new ways and attractions to both old and new modes, including not only computer graphic and synthesized works but also fresh methods making use of both digital and analogue techniques. This program introduces 16 high-profile advertising projects, music videos, cartoons etc. which highlight the sense of their creators and their shared contemporary imaginations.
