”The Luxelakes A4 Art Museum” (formerly the A4 Contemporary Arts Center) was founded in March, 2008 by Chengdu Wide Horizon Investment Co., Ltd. The museum relocated to Luxelakes Eco-City and was formally registered as a privately operated non-profit art museum in August 2016. The A4 Art Museum has been conducting independent animation research and holding screening projects of various types of the animation works and programs from a lot of countries since 2011.
The Screening programs for this year are as follows.
Screening
“22nd Japan Media Arts Festival Award-winning Program”
This program comprises 10 works from award-winning works of the Animation and Art Division from the 22nd Japan Media Arts Festival.
“Atsushi WADA Program”
Atsushi WADA’s animations stimulate the five senses. He does a great job of conveying the sense of touch and emotions experienced by the characters through unique expressions of movement.
He even seems to go beyond that by expressing concepts that transcend the limits of human perception—air, premonitions, the formless thoughts embedded in the subconscious.
“NEW MOTION -Short films”
Selection of experimental and ambitious Japanese short films that embody unique forms of expression and innovative ideas, centered on Japan Media Arts Festival winners.
