To coincide with the Manga Barcelona convention (Spain), which will be held from October 30th (Friday) to November 1st (Sunday) as an online event, this year we are creating a special website "Manga, diversidad e inclusión" (Manga, diversity and inclusion) and holding online events.
With Barcelona-based manga researcher and translator Marc BERNABÉ as the director, we will introduce six works that show the diversity of Japanese manga, with a focus on a special exhibition of TSURUTANI Kaori's work "BL Metamorphosis", which was the winner of the 22nd Japan Media Arts Festival's Manga Division New Face Award. In addition, Q&A sessions and live drawing sessions by manga artists who create works on a variety of themes, will be available online.
The special website is scheduled to open at 15:00 on Thursday, October 29th.
